Cary computer shop burglarized again, police say - Northwest Herald

Cary police officers discovered on Saturday morning that three men forced their way into a business and stole various electronics worth around $7,800, according to the Cary Police Department.

Cary police officers responded at approximately 5:24 a.m. to a burglar alarm that was activated at Cary Grove Computers, 115 E. Main St. Upon arrival, officers discovered the forced entry.

Review of video surveillance from the business revealed that three black men of unspecified age ranges broke into the business, stole the items and left the scene eastbound on U.S. Route 14, according to press release sent late Saturday afternoon.

The alarm system notified the business owner of the break-in through a phone notification, Deputy Chief Scott Naydenoff said.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver GMC Yukon with North Carolina registration FLW 2349. Authorities said they believe there was a fourth suspect who remained in the vehicle during the burglary.

Naydenoff said they believe the vehicle is a rental and currently are investigating the incident.

This is not the first time Cary Grove Computers has been burglarized. Early in December, another burglary involved a man stealing iPad boxes that ended up being empty.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Cary Police Department at 847-639-2341 or Cary-Grove Area Crime Stoppers at 800-762-7876.
